About Cotera
Cotera is an investment firm dedicated to acquiring and operating established businesses. We invest with a long time horizon and a simple belief: lasting value comes from engaged ownership that preserves what makes a business trusted while investing in its people, its systems, and its future.
Giacomo Messina, CPA, MBA, founded Cotera with the ambition of building enduring businesses through active ownership. After earning his MBA from SDA Bocconi University in Milan and gaining experience in private equity and corporate finance, beginning in mergers and acquisitions at KPMG, he set out to build something of his own. Through Cotera, Giacomo seeks to acquire necessity based businesses and grow them through operational excellence, investment in people, and long-term perspective.
